We’re not here to sell you a dream, we’re here to let you know that if your current protection doesn’t work, we’ve developed a solution that’s more economical, more ecological and more comfortable.
The important thing for us is to give you the information you need to make the best choice. Do you prefer the menstrual cup? We raise our cup of wine to you! Do you still want to use tampons or pads? In Madagascar, where I grew up, menstruation is a taboo subject. We don’t talk about cycles, hormones and even less about menstrual protection options. Before arriving in Quebec in 2012 and launching Ora Protections in 2021, I had no idea that the tampons and sanitary pads I used every month could contain toxic materials harmful to vaginal flora.
It was after the birth of my third child, tired of disrupting my little sleep to change pads, that I decided to find out more about this subject.
Talking to other women around me, I realized that many of us were misinformed, or had never asked questions. I realized that I’d lacked education when it came to my health. That’s why I decided to make women’s health my main mission.
We've gone through our products and packaging with a fine-tooth comb to make them as eco-responsible as possible. We use tencel, recycled nylon, organic cotton and bamboo. No fabric contains PFAS, which are harmful to your health and to the planet. Our packaging has been reduced to a minimum and contains no plastic.
Above all, we want you to feel good and experience menstruation as comfortably as possible. That's why we don't judge other types of menstrual protection. That's also why we offer you a refund if you don't like your first menstrual panties. See our policy for details. If you encounter a problem with our products, we'll be there to listen and accommodate you as best we can.
Our panties are designed for all menstruating women. All our panty models are available in sizes XS to 4XL.
For us, keeping our prices as affordable as possible without compromising on quality and reliability is also a step towards greater inclusiveness.
We have nothing to hide. We take the utmost care with our size guides and product sheets, so there are no surprises. The composition of the fabrics and the place of manufacture are clearly indicated on our products.
Our panties are designed right here in Quebec, but sewn in China. Making our panties locally is one of our goals, but we haven't yet managed to find the perfect match to accommodate our production volume and keep our costs as affordable as possible. Between local facts and accessibility, we've chosen (for now) accessibility.

As you’ve probably noticed, our panty designs as you’ve always known them are on clearance. Don’t worry, we’ve simply made changes to our manufacturing processes. Older models won’t be coming back, but you can find similar models in the new collection.
Please note that clearance items are neither exchangeable nor refundable.
A minimum of 3-5 panties will give you time to wash and dry after use, then carry over to the next cycle. Choose different absorption levels to suit your menstrual flow.
Do you want to stop thinking about washing and make sure you have enough? Count 2 to 3 panties per day of menstruation. All you have to do is put them in the wash at the end of your period!
Hip and waist sizes are quite similar from one model to another. The difference is most obvious in the crotch.

If you’re hesitating between 2 sizes, it’s up to you to decide whether you prefer tighter-fitting panties or more room inside. You can also view detailed measurements for each model ⤵

➜ High-absorption knickers are ideal for abundant flow, medium-absorption knickers for medium flow, and so on.
➜ As your flow varies over the days of your period, you may well choose different levels of absorption.
➜ The choice of panty shape is your own personal choice. Simply choose the shape you usually like to wear.
If you’re looking for safety and peace of mind above all else, opt for high protection. The more absorbent your panties, the longer you can wear them and the lower the risk of leaks.
You don’t have such an abundant flow and want to maximize your comfort? Opt for medium and light protection, the thickness of the protective band is 2 times thinner than those of high absorptions.
❓Panties are generally worn all day long, or a little less if you have a very heavy flow. You can therefore count on one pair of panties during the day and one pair at night, i.e. 2 pairs of panties per menstrual day.
